Our initial brand consultation for Diamond Gear Sport was a blast! Baseball is America’s pastime and is one of the most popular sports in the world so we were excited for the opportunity to work with a professional athlete to build a brand in the baseball category. In our first meeting, we discussed goals, objectives, target market, and the process from inception to the end product. Once we had a better understanding of what our client is looking to create, we moved into phase 2 which is DESIGN. Diamond Gear Sport already had a logo and some initial designs. Our objective was to make sure that we can utilize the logo and designs as well as expand on the ideas and concepts to build an apparel brand. Our design team provided feedback on the current designs, created over a dozen new shirt and hat designs, and produced mock-ups to present our client with different looks and uses of the designs.
For Diamond Gear Sport, we focused on a few production elements. Screen printing is the method of customization on a variety of t-shirts and hooded sweatshirts as it is durable and the most popular imprint method. We went with custom snapback hats that have a custom sweatband, custom taping, and custom woven label on the interior of the hats. The logo on the hats was embroidered with a satin white and a metallic gold thread providing that high end look and feel. We also are private labeling all of the garments with customs neck labels and hang tags to show the quality of this premium brand. Since one of their sales channels is e-commerce, we also fold, bag, and apply size stickers to every garment to allow for quick shipping.
Any company that is building an apparel brand needs to think about marketing the products from the beginning. For Diamond Gear Sport, our marketing team set up multiple photo shoots and video shoots in order to capture the story and the essence of the brand. This is a baseball inspired brand that is made specifically for people that have a love for playing and watching the sport, by people who are passionate and connected to the sport. Social media is an important part of building a company and quality content helps share the story of the brand and reach the target audience. Our marketing team also took product shots for every single item in order to have quality photos for the website and for them to use on social media channels.
Business is shifting a lot more from brick and mortar retail stores to online, E-Commerce stores. Our team at 9010 Brand designed and built the E-Commerce store for Diamond Gear Sport. We are responsible for creating the layout, shooting and editing the product and model shots, and implementing the applications that are featured on the site. On the back end, our team is responsible for setting up the inventory SKUs, assigning shipping costs, creating the fulfillment process, enabling payment methods, and making sure the site is working and functioning properly.
We recently noticed that a lot of start brands are not equipped to handle their own fulfillment as the brand scales. For our apparel clients such as Diamond Gear Sport, we store boxes, packaging, labels, tape, poly bags, etc in order to fulfill the online orders. We check the online store 2 times a day to fulfill orders that are placed to ensure that the customers receive their orders in a timely manner. We also monitor the inventory for them so that we can provide feedback on the top selling items and provide suggestions on what they need to reorder prior to their inventory being depleted.
